• Minutes read from December 2006 meeting and approved.

• Ryle gave update on fencing extension to outside run. The extension was needed to stop people throwing dogs over the top after hours.

• Ryle stated that 6 cat cages will be purchased.

• Ryle stated that there is a problem with the drainage from the inside runs. Corrective measures were discussed.

• Paul Hirt elaborated on feeding procedures needed.

• New appointments to the board were announced. Dr. Michelle Sweet was appointed as Board President via the County and Neil Cortus was appointed as Board Secretary by the Mayor of Greensburg.

• PAAIN introduced a discussion in regards to using special food such as “Science Diet Program Food”. Dr. Hirt stated that the Board does not want to loose Wal-Mart’s help in case something happened in the future with the SD food program. PAAIN to give e-mail to Board pertaining to information for consideration. Ripley County Shelter worker discussed the advantages of using SD food program.

• Mrs. Rhonda Lee from PAAIN gave last year’s monetary distribution and number of animals rescued from GDCAH. Between April – December 2006, 228 dogs and 69 cats were removed from the shelter.

• Spay / Neuter program was discussed. All agreed that this issue was paramount and that we must go forward as a group.

• Warden Stoneking gave his monthly report.

• Meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm
