May 16, 2007 - Special Meeting

CALL TO ORDER 8:05 PM BY DR SWEET

• Ryle reports on County Board meeting. He Said that:
    □ Animal shelter is busting at seams.
    □ Neil gave report on numbers.
    □ Request for salary position was presented.
    □ County asked that ACB go make request to City Counsel
    □ City meeting is set for 6/4/07
    □ Ryle wants to use same format with City Counsel
    □ Ryle feels good about funding.

• Cortus discusses conservation with Sheriff Templeton about Deputizing the ACO.

• Ryle discusses mowing at the shelter.

• A motion was introduced to promote Amy Marshall to Shelter Manager. It was seconded and approved by a 3 to 0 vote.

• Cortus & Ryle discuss hours worked at the shelter by Shelter techs and made recommendations on how many hours to work to help with the growing budget over usage. It was noted that the ACB would keep an eye on this problem.

• A short group discussion on the possibility of having rescue pay for medical services rendered was had.

• Ryle thanked Marshall for all she had done during the last month.

• Volunteer Ron Linger discussed the old Warden and his work.


• Motion to adjourned was seconded at 8:27 pm.
