DECATUR COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

JUNE 4, 2007


The Decatur County Commissioners opened their June 4th meeting with following present: Charles Buell- President, John Richards and Bridgett Weber - Auditor.

The May 21st meeting minutes were approved as read.

Kevin Barnes discussed concerns at the Edelweiss Property on 650E. It appears that a second home is being built on this property and wanted Commissioners to be aware that no public advertisement was made on the second structure. David Neuman was also present to discuss this issue. Mr. Neuman explained that the second structure was made on an original foundation from an old log cabin as an original homestead.

Jerry Herman along with Mr. Neuman discussed the clean up of Mr. Herman’s property. Mr. Herman asked if Mr. Neuman could be his contact person and Commissioners agreed.

Mr. Richards moved to sign lien releases from Agency on Aging and Mr. Buell concurred.

Mr. Richards moved to sign Petition for Establishment of a Regional Water District for Decatur, Jennings and Ripley Counties and Mr. Buell concurred.

Mark Mohr - Highway Department provided LPA vouchers for signature. Mr. Richards moved to sign LPA vouchers for Bridge Inspections for Aecon Engineering and Mr. Buell concurred. Mr. Mohr provided a letter from Valley Asphalt. Valley would like to use the frontage road and 150 N and Commissioners agreed. Mr. Mohr will follow up on any additional bid letting.

Mr. Richards moved to sign Ordinance 2007-7 to Dissolve Town of Milford and Mr. Buell concurred.

Claims are approved

Ms. Polanski discussed particulars on Regional Sewer District. She would like to discuss further with the committee and Commissioners at their next meeting.

With nothing else to come before the Commissioners, Mr. Richards moved to recess and Mr. Buell concurred.
