Larry Meyer, Ken Owens and Kenny Hooten.
Mr. Owens moved to approve the minutes of December 4th and Mrs. Hunt

overtime. Rita Burkert would like the girls to be paid a fair amount for the
time they have worked. Mr. Gauck recommended going back to 2001 and paying
the girls for those years. Mr. Owens moved to pay compensation time for the
2 years prior, Mrs. Hunt seconded, motion carries.
Sheriff Templeton is requesting cleaning services to be appropriated for the
Sheriff’s Department. Mr. Meyer moved to approve the $6,000.00, seconded by
Mrs. Metz, motion carries.
Sheriff Templeton also provided reports for 2007 operations of the Sheriff’s
Department.
Sheriff Templeton has a deputy that will be leaving for Iraq and will be
back in 2009 and will have to guarantee him a job when he returns. Sheriff
Templeton would like approval to hire someone in his place while he is gone.
Robert Barker provided information about the Oddfellows Rebekah Park
proposal. The Park has leased this property since 1981 and Oddfellows has
decided to not resign a lease for 2008. Council members agreed to allow
Commissioners to get appraisals and make an offer for the 20 acres.
